Missing this year due to a family emergency are Ed 'Plank Owner' & Elsie Gariano. We hope they can rejoin us at next years reunion at Virginia Beach, VA.
In 2000 these five couples decided to form the USS Pocono Association and plan reunions. Our first reunion was in 2001 and we have had successful reunions each year since thanks to the reunion planning expertise of Jack Myers who also plans and organizes another reunion for his other ships reunion group. Finding our Pocono Crewmen was a top priority and to this end Chris Young created the USS Pocono Association Website. We started with about 200 crewmen who were registered with the AGC Flagship Alliance. Crewmen immediately began finding the Pocono Association Website and registered with us and today we have located over 1,000 crewmen. Many of our crewmen have taken on the difficult task of searching for other shipmates. Their efforts have helped to expanded our Crewlist numbers also.
