The USS Pocono Association is a reunion
organization with the goal of reuniting former crewmen for social events at popular
vacation locations. Join us and renew old friendships and make new friends.
So far the Pocono Crew List contains over 1,000 former Pocono crewmen who
served from the first commissioning in 1945 through her final decommissioning in 1971.
Annual Dues
Annual dues for 'Active Members' are $10.00.
'Active Members' are those who wish to receive USS Pocono Association newsletters and
reunion mailings. Annual dues are required for those who attend the USS Pocono
Association reunions. You will receive an annual membership card.
The dues also support this website where many of you found the USS Pocono
Association. Your support will allow others to find us through the website and
reunite you with your shipmates.

What does AGC stand for?
The 'A' is not for Auxillary. "Amphibious General Communications" or "Amphibious Group Command"
What does LCC stand for? "Landing Command Communications"
What does JCC stand for?
NATO designation "Joint Command Communications"
USS POCONO REUNION INFORMATION 2012
USS Pocono Reunion Virginia Beach, VA. October 9th thru 13th. 2012 The reunion will be at the Surfside Oceanfront Inn & Suites 1211 Atlantic Avenue, Virginia Beach, VA. Room rates are $67.67 all-inclusive and includes a super continental breakfast. The Cutoff Date for making reservations is September 9, 2012. Tours Include: #1 - Williamsburg and driving tour of Yorktown #2 - Riding tour of Norfolk with a harbor cruise and #3 - Tour of the Norfolk Naval Base with lunch included. An aircraft carrier has been requested for our tour. More idetailed information will be included in the Spring Newsletter.We are in the ongoing process of searching out all former crewmen of the USS Pocono. To that end we request that all former crewmen send us their contact information and/or the information of any crewman that you have contact with.
